Hi!

Today's card is for three challenges:  Simon Says Monday Challenge: Start Afresh,
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: New Something, and Mod Squad's challenge this week: Anything But Christmas.

Images and sentiment are from Gina K Design's "Dreams Take Flight".  I have used the dragonflies before, but not the sentiment.  My "new something" would be the Tim Holtz distress inks I used on the background: 'Spiced Marmalade', 'Fossilized Amber', and 'Fired Brick'.  I recently purchased four sets of the mini-cubes - now I have a nice variety!

Carved Wood Technique

Today I have a couple of cards for a couple of challenges!  It was World Cardmaking Day yesterday, and Gina K at StampTV has four challenges going on.  First up is to make a card utilizing the "Carved Wood Technique" - a technique Gina kind of stumbled onto!  I am also entering this card in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Still Celebrating!

Hi!

I made this card for two challenges.  Silke at Gina K Designs challenged us to use piercing on a card, and Simon Says Stamp is celebrating the sixth anniversary of their Monday Challenge!

Stamps are from Gina K Designs "Lots of Lines".  Main images are stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then sponged over with distress inks and spritzed with water.

Stamp-A-Faire 2016 Masterpiece Inspiration and Finale

Well, I managed one card for PTI's Stamp-A-Faire 2016.  I had to work all weekend so missed most of the fun.  I decided to go with the "Masterpiece Inspiration" challenge.  Each member of the design team had to choose an artist and use them as inspiration for their own project.  I was inspired by Amy Sheffer's  beautiful card and decided to recreate it:

I used the leafy die from the "Songbirds" die set.  The "hello" is from the 'Wet Paint Cuts Die Collection'.

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

It's time for Papertrey Ink's July Blog Hop!  We were to draw inspiration from the following photo:

Lots of lovely aspects to choose from.  I was inspired by the quatrefoil pattern on the rug and the flowers on the cushion.

I used PTI's 'Quatrefoil Cover Plate' and 'Pretty Petals' stamp set.  The "enjoy" is from 'Wet Paint Cuts Die Collection'.
