Birthday by the Sea

Hi there!

Today I have a card for Papertrey Ink's Win it Wednesdays: Laurie's Favourites, and Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: No Stamps Allowed.
This week Laurie challenged us to use our favourite stand alone die; and Simon's Wednesday Challenge is to use products other than stamps.  I came up with this:

I used PTI's 'Text Block Birthday Die' and embellished it with flora and little fish cut from 'Reef Builder'. The waves in the background were created using  SSS's 'Stencil Waves This is the Life' stencil.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

PTI's Win It Wednesday - Laurie's Fabulous Favourites

Hi!

Papertrey Ink have introduced Win It Wednesdays where we have several opportunities to win!  In the challenge "Laurie's Fabulous Favourites", we are to use our favourite color card stock - for me, that would be pink. I used 'Hibiscus Burst' card stock on my card below.  I originally made the card to stand vertically, but see that it works horizontally as well. : )

Large flower is from PTI's 'Rosie Posie' (center is cut from a die from the 'Songbirds' collection), smaller flowers are from 'Beautiful Blooms 2'.  They are resting on a background cut from 'Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical Die'.  Sentiment is cut from 'Wonderful Words: Thank You' die.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Flower Power

Hi there!

Today I have a card using a technique called "Negative Die Cut Backgrounds" showcased by
Ashley at Papertrey Ink.

Flowers and sentiment are from PTI's "Flower Power" - a gift from my dear friend, Alvina!
I used a die from PTI's "Shakers and Sprinkles" kit to die cut the background.

I am entering this in PTI's Make it Monday #349: Negative Die Cut Backgrounds, and
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes.

Have a great weekend!
