I am playing along with two challenges today!  Cat from Gina K Designs challenged us to use just one flower on a project - STV16MON28. And Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge "Flora and Fauna" where we could use flora, fauna, or both!

Hi!

I'm back with a card for Simon Says Monday Challenge: Red,White and/or Blue, and their Wednesday Challenge:  Photo Inspiration.

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Seahorse and bubbles are from "Eclectic Summer", and sea weed and fish are from "Under the Sea".  I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's post here.  I didn't quite have the proper tools to do her technique, so I improvised.

MAKE IT MONDAY #255: STRING ART USING DIE-CUTS

I have two posts today.  First one is for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #255 where Amy shares how to create string art accents and focal points using PTI die-cuts.  

I used PTI's "Stitched Rectangles" for my string art.   Flower is from "Rosie Posie", and sentiment is from "Keep it Simple- Birthday Mini Stamp Set".

Hi!

Today I have a second entry for  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Large fish is from "Eclectic Summer", small shadow fish is from "Under the Sea", and sentiment is from "Inside and Out".  I used the polished stone technique to create the background, and stamped and heat embossed the larger fish so that I could bleach them.

Purple Bloom

Hi!

Today I am playing along with two challenges - Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge #254 where Ashley shows us how to stencil using texture paste, and Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge: Anything Goes.

I made a stencil using PTI's "Mighty Bloom" cover plate.  I used embossing paste and coloured it using a red re-inker and an Adirondack Alcohol Ink "Wild Plum".  Sentiment is PTI's "Keep It Simple: Birthday".  I ended up using too much water when I decided to lighten the color, and the ink bled a bit on a few of the petals : (

Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!

Today I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's June Blog Hop Challenge!  We were to use this beautiful artwork from Yellena James as inspiration:

I came up with this:

I used PTI's "Harvest Berries" and "Thank You" die.  Images were stamped in Versamark  ink on watercolour paper, and heat embossed using white embossing powder.  I sponged over all with teal and pink inks, and then sprayed with "Purple Pansy Glimmer Mist".

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Mask It!

Popping in today with an entry for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Mask It!

The sheep and little bird are Elzybel's stamps.  The company has closed down, but I think the owner is designing for Penny Black.  Sentiment is from Gina K Designs "Spring Mix".
I masked the sheep and stamped the bird on top; then I masked them both and sponged in some sky and grass.

Spring Dragonflies

Hi!

I made this for Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge: "Make a Wish", and for their Wednesday Challenge: "Anything Goes".

Dragonflies are from Gina K Design's "Dreams Take Flight", sentiment is from Clearly Besotted "Hoppy Birthday".  I used My Favourite Things "Wonky Stitched Rectangles" for the stitched border, and a Darice embossing folder for the clouds on the background panel.

FELT THAT!

Hi there!

I made a card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday challenges - to use felt on a card or project!

No stamping on this card!  Flowers and sentiment were cut using dies from Papertrey Ink.  Outer frame was cut using a Blueprint die from My Favourite Things (FYI - Simon Says Stamp shop had it in stock last time I checked!).
